I could not duplicate the fluffiness, and Sally would not answer her phone. I think it's a closely guarded secret.

Elizabeth was slightly upset that she had no bars on her cellular. After about two hours of standing on different high points and holding her phone in the air, she finally gave up and enjoyed the river.

First stop...a visit with Jen, Christian and the Boys. One would think that after staying up past 10 and getting up at 5 to drive to the airport, a certain two year-old would sleep at some point during a 7 hour flight. Not.

Next stop, Mary & Ted's in Tampa, where Trevor enjoyed playing with cousin Sarah and Noel had the time of her life with this cranky doll.

The view from our condo's living room.

The best part of our vacation...the beach! The weather was perfect.

We went to Sunken Gardens, where Trevor learned just how stinky flamingos are.

With the Godfather.

A beach moment with my cousin Mary.

Newly baptized baby. She pretty much yelled the whole time.

A visit with Nana and Grandpa.

With cousin Elizabeth.

Cute babies, Cayden and Noel.

Posing for Christmas portraits. Two uncooperative children. Note the sweater...yes, I knitted it.

We went to the Christmas parade the day after Thanksgiving. Here is Trevor with his girlfriend Anna. Trevor wasn't too impressed with the parade, he just wanted the candy they were tossing. Of course, it was kind of a lame-o parade that lasted an hour and 45 minuted too long.

More candy, please!

Picking out Christmas trees to slaughter at Alpine U-Cut.

Raspberry picking with Sophia. Note the mud on Trevor's legs. Sophia gave him the spa treatment by mashing up raspberries with dirt and applying the thick paste to his legs. It was a mess to clean up but the kids were entertained for at least 20 minutes, so a little cleanup is a small price to pay.

How long, start to finish, does your kids' bedtime routine take?

Trevor & "The Boys," Soren, Gunnar & Kjeld.

Breakfast with Uncle Scott and Aunt Sally at Easy Street, our favorite Seattle hangout. You must try the Huevos Rancheros!

Tom, Todd and Robin slurping coffee Easter morning.

The weather was, for the most part, hideous during our time in Seattle. It was so rainy, and when it finally stopped raining, it was so windy that the wind almost (literally) blew Trevor away!

Aunt Sally bought Trevor this white-chocolate-coated Easter bunny caramel apple in Pike Place Market, so we were able to enjoy drinks and appetizers while he bonded with it. You can see why kids love Sally!

Here is Trevor in Daddy's hoody, and Robin filling the tub with water. We were planning on a ferry ride to Vashon Island, but when we arrived at the terminal, we had a MAJOR situation whose only solution was an immediate bath and new outfit...and I mean no article of clothing nor limb was left unscathed. I'll let you imagine the rest.

Approaching storm off Agate Beach. It was pouring when we got to the coast, but it cleared up into a perfectly sunny day after a while. It was official whale-watching week (we always seem to end up at the coast during the migrations!) but the visibility was low due to the rain and fog so we didn't see any this time.

Trevor had everyone, including Grandpa, dancing.

Chillin with Tia Nikah at Indian Rocks Beach. 82 degrees.

Party at Rick's house. It was rowdy and we stayed until 10 p.m. Trevor fell asleep about 2 minutes after we got in the car to leave.

visiting with Grandmother Goodall. 98 years old!

The best thing about our trip (besides visiting family, of course) was that the local strawberries were in season and delicious. We ate several pints a day. My sister Donna threw a great party...she served upeel it shrimp with cocktail sauce and butter, potatoes, salad, beer and these beautiful strawberries with whipped cream.

12 megapixels...means it takes forever to load one picture.

Mess Mode. It lasts from approximately 7:30 a.m. til 8 p.m. or later, with a nap in the middle.

We went picking at Radke's, the most rad patch in town, and harvested 17 pounds of blueberries. We spent $20. That's a lot of berries for a little money and labor.

Hours Old Carson
He looks cute here, but he looks a lot cuter in real life.

This is an old picture, from around Christmas last year, but I'm putting it on because it cracks me up.

The racket of pans crashing and cabinet doors opening and closing issued from the kitchen. A few minutes later, Trevor trotted out into the living room where Todd and I were hanging out, grabbed our hands, and led us into the kitchen to show off his first serious sculpture. He pointed excitedly at it; when we looked confused and yet admiring, he explained further using one of the few words he knows: "HOT."

Trevor under water at the pool. You wouldn't believe the trouble I had to go to to get this picture. First, we had to sign up for Waterbabies class and sing cutesie kid songs every week. They finally took the pictures, then (for $2) emailed me the wrong one! So, now, one month later, here is the cornerstone of this blog. He doesn't look unhappy.
